The Villa Kerasy brings you on a voyage into Indian Brittany, an escape to India from Brittany. During your stay, slip into the attire of an Indian princess and her prince…
To invite you on a voyage
Our ambition is to bring you on a stress-free Asian voyage, without the jet-lag, to relive an experience or prepare a forthcoming trip.
Dream of far-off shores in fresh percale sheets… Let your mind wander through the arabesques of a Persian rug… The Villa Kerasy invites you to gently awaken your senses on a journey of initiation into the discrete temple of tastes and smells from the Orient.
India in Brittany
Embark for southern Brittany, in Vannes, its marina and city walls, just a stone’s throw from the megaliths of the Gulf of Morbihan. Land in India, in Pondichéry, with its end-of-the-world feel and ancestral beauty rituals. You are at the Villa Kerasy, a charmingly hospitable and welcoming hotel, ideal for a getaway that recalls the epic voyages of Breton sailors heading off to Asian lands.
A traveler’s tale:
Imagine my surprise when I came across this dual escapade in the Golfe du Morbihan. First Breton, with the salty smell of the Atlantic ocean and traditional kouign-amann dripping with butter; then Asian with the oriental sensations of Ayurvedic treatments and spicy Indian curries. The Road to India now passes through Brittany, and especially the Villa Kerasy, a charming hotel next to the medieval center of Vannes. »
A hotel converted through a love of travel
The Villa Kerasy Hotel & Spa combines the stylishness of a 1920’s residence with the contrasting environment of the Road to India. This former hosiery plant has come a long way since it was converted into a charming hotel: with its rooms and spa evoking Canton, Ceylon or Bourbon, while the garden could be called Kyoto!
Over the years and extensive travels in Asia, the owners have gathered a fascinating collection of decorative objects. Two elephants stand guard at the front of house, exotic wooden panels, fine porcelain, silks and Damas fabrics decorate the rooms. Travel comfortably in king-size beds dressed in fresh cotton overlooking a small Japanese garden.
Irène Frain honored us by sponsoring the hotel. She has written some delicious lines about our hotel: “The secrets of a house back in India”.
